We are a Private Assistance Institution in Mexico City working with low-income children and adolescents who come from dysfunctional families, so that they can access better educational opportunities through the full enjoyment of their rights to Education, Nutrition, Health, as well as an Adequate Standard of Living and a Healthy Integral Development.

OUR HISTORY
79 years of transforming the lives of our students
Founded on September 8
As an elementary boarding school for boys run by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart and the Poor
Lay personnel joined in the areas of School, Psychology and Kitchen
The current board assumes its formal positions
AFN extended its reach
Girls were admitted to the school
Comprehensive care was provided for children in all levels of preschool
The Health division begins its activities
The division dedicated to health promotion and the control of healthy children begins its activities
The management of the school changes, it is now in the hands of the Italian Congregation of the Sacred Heart and the Incarnate Word
Workshop 12-15 begins (Currently called “Liderazgo Joven” or Young Leadership)
For students who graduate from A Favor del Niño, I.A.P. and currently attend middle school
Focused on children from 1 year 7 months to 3 years
Nursery services begin
The educational model is upgraded
Adapting the Socio-Constructive and Transdimensional Pedagogical model, taught by the Kuruwi School's partnered team, who share their pedagogical strategies with the Preschool team
AFN began providing only extended-time school service (7:30 am to 5:00 pm for Preschool, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm for Elementary School and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Young Leadership)
For teacher training at the Elementary level
By expanding the partnership with Enseña Por Mexico and starting a new one with Comedor Santa Maria for the Nutrition program
