My name is Karla, I am currently studying at the Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades Plantel Sur, where I am part of the representative team of women's soccer.

I joined A Favor del Niño when I was three years old. I attended Preschool and Elementary school and I took part of the 12-15 Workshop for two and a half years. During that time, the lessons I took were not only academic: they made me the person I am today. I learned values such as respecting others and myself, to be supportive, empathetic, assertive, and creative; to always aim higher, to forgive people and not hold grudges; I also learned to save money and eat healthy. I was instilled with the habit of exercising; I learned the value of entrepreneurship. Academically, I learned to make study guides; I learned that there is more than one way to learn, whether visually or verbally. I also learned how to work in a team and on my own.

A Favor del Niño gave me a number of unforgettable experiences. Not only did they help me, but also my family. I come from a family made up of my mother, my brother and I. Thanks to all their support, my brother got a degree in Nursing and I can continue studying.

I want to thank the institution directly for having educated me, for trusting me, for all the experiences I was given, for all the learning I have had, for the wonderful people I have met, for the commitment they have to the betterment of their students; and above all I want to thank them for being part of my life.
